Bloomington Brewing Company’s Krampus Black Imperial IPA appears for another holiday season. BBC started brewing Krampus 6 years ago in celebration and partnership with the nationally recognized Bloomington Krampus event, put together annually by Kel McBride.

According to Alpine legend, the Krampus was a large, hairy, horned, and wild mythical creature who accompanied Saint Nicholas during the Christmas season in order to punish bad children, while Saint Nicholas rewarded the good children.

With its toasty malt aromas, Krampus Imperial Black IPA invites your senses along on a dark and mischievous hop resin ride. Dry-hopped with citrusy, spicy varietals, the beer has intense hoppiness up front with a smooth finish.

“Krampus is one of the highest ABV, and the most heavily hopped beers we produce. It is a very challenging brew, but we’ve made a few adjustments, and this year’s Krampus is one of the best batches to date. We are very proud of this beer.”
